Like the volcanic rock we're named after, a great bathroom is built in layers: tanking, boarding, levelling, tiling. The bits you never see are the bits we're proudest of.

If something won't work, we'll say so on the first visit. If it'll cost more than you think, we'll say that too.

The name
Why Lava?
Lava is where stone comes from: heat, pressure and patience, then something that lasts for centuries. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to. Warm rooms, solid foundations, and finishes that still look right in twenty years.
And yes, we do love a basalt tile.
