Marble bathroom with twin mirrors

FAQs

Everything you wanted to ask.

Costs, timings, mess, guarantees. If your question isn’t here, call us. You’ll speak to someone who fits bathrooms for a living.

How much does a new bathroom cost?

Most of our family bathrooms land between £8,500 and £18,000 fitted, depending on size, layout changes and the products you choose. Try the cost guide for a figure based on your room, then we'll fix it properly after the design visit.

How long will it take?

A cloakroom is usually under a week. Ensuites run 1.5–2 weeks, and family bathrooms and wet rooms 2–3 weeks. You'll get a day-by-day plan before we start.

Do you supply the products or can we?

Either. We can supply everything through our trade accounts, often below retail, or fit products you've bought. We'll check anything you buy before it's delivered.

Who will actually be in my house?

Our own fitting team, led by the same person from day one to handover. Electrics and gas are done by qualified, registered engineers, and you'll know who's coming each day.

Is the quote really fixed?

Yes. Your quote is itemised and fixed once signed. The only things that change it are changes you ask for, and those are priced in writing before we do them.

What happens if something goes wrong later?

Call us. Our workmanship is covered by a 10-year guarantee and product warranties are registered in your name at handover.

Can we keep using the house while you work?

Yes. We sheet and protect the route to the bathroom, keep the water on overnight wherever possible and tidy every evening.

Do we need a second loo?

If it's your only toilet we plan the work so you're without it for as little time as possible, usually a day or two, and we can arrange a temporary option.

Can you add an ensuite where there isn't one?

Often, yes. The deciding factor is getting waste to the soil stack. We'll check that on the design visit and tell you straight.

What's the smallest ensuite you've fitted?

A shower, WC and basin can work in around 2.2m² with the right layout. We'll show you on a plan before you decide.

Will a wet room work upstairs?

Yes. On timber floors we lower or strengthen the joists where needed to build in the fall. We'll survey this first.

Do wet rooms leak?

Badly built ones do. Ours are fully tanked and flood-tested before tiling, which is why we can guarantee them.

Can you work alongside a Disabled Facilities Grant?

We can provide the itemised quotes and drawings that grant applications usually need. Your council will confirm what's eligible.

Can we keep a bath?

Yes. Walk-in baths, bath lifts and a level shower alongside a bath are all options. We'll show you what fits.

Can you fit a loo under the stairs?

Usually, if there's a route for the waste. Where there isn't, a quality macerator makes it possible.

Do I need building regs?

New WCs need extraction and correct drainage. We handle the notifications we're responsible for and tell you about anything else.
